Mr. Spaghetti vs. John Amos (Round Four)
June 20th, 2008West Frankfort, IL. LU 702
June 19th, 2008 I’ve signed two books to date from ROF @ John Amos on 05/23/2008. 466 & 702. 466 just because it’s close to home and long running. And 702. I signed with Billy Mac 606 on 06/02/08 at #95 on BK II. There are 32 on BK I. The target job is the Baldwin Power House. Far enough out of town that the locals won’t travel yet close enough to East St. Louis to live there while working. The assistant Inside BA was very happy to see us and encouraged us to hang out there and wait. He says that there will be a 100 man (JW) call very soon. 50 for days & 50 for nights. After that breaks it’s on. He says for the next four years they won’t be able to man all the work they have. That there are talks of incentives to encourage travelers to stay.
I think this Baldwin Job will be a great job having so many ibewtramps on the job. But to this date I’m still waiting, though I hear after the fourth of July things will break.
I am so PISSED OFF I could chock them BASTARDS!!!
June 18th, 2008As ya’ll know, we held a benefit cook out for Billy Mac’s family. We drove 150 miles to do this down in Charleston where myself & Billy had last worked. We raised money & called in for a wreath to be delivered to the funeral home. We tracked it’s delivery. It showed up a day late and the Funeral Home RIGHTLY refused it! They said it arrived in a box looking like a dead weed! Now we gotta fight to get a refund. I’ll wait and add it too the $$$ I send to Billy. They say 5 to 7 days. They say they’er sending a replacement to the house. What a CLUSTER FUCK!!! We tried so hard to do something nice for them but NOOO!!!
I’ll keep you posted here as I hear… Jim
